Gravity casting uses the gravity to fill the permanent mould or die with molten metal. It doesn't use the high pressure die casting to produce the casting. It'll make sure that there'll nothing clusters formed during casting process. The process has many advantages like cheap, high quality, and easy process control than other casting techniques. Gravity casting is completed in ceramic moulds, permanent casting moulds, and sand moulds and also in investment casting or lost wax casting.

Aluminum gravity casting is usually called aluminum gravity die casting, aluminum permanent mold casting or aluminum metal mold gravity casting.

Aluminum gravity casting similar other typical methods of casting. The melted aluminum alloy be poured into the mould that named gravity-fed. However pouring rate is low, but the metal mold produces rapid solidification.
